Site Map

The weather in Kenya is almost perfect. It is neither too hot nor too cool with long sun-filled days. Being on the equator day and night are almost equal the whole year round with sunrise between 0600hrs and 0630hrs; and sundown between 1830hrs and 1900hrs.

A greater part of inland Kenya is above 5,000ft and thus except for the cool months of July and August, when it can be cold at nights, it is hot during the day and comfortably cool at night. The coastal region has a tropical climate, hot and humid.

The long rains occur from the end of March to the end of May and short rains are November through to mid-December. When it does occur, rain falls periodically interspersed by bright sunny intervals in between.
