These prices include one Gorilla Tracking permit. Please note Gorilla Tracking permits must be paid immediately when booked otherwise we cannot purchase them and cannot be held responsible if they are no longer available, only when payment has been received can permits for gorilla tracking in the relevant National Park be purchased.

Getting a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla. They are wild animals who are free to roam at will and though the rangers normally are confident they will find them it has on rare occasions been that the family has moved too far away or are in hiding due to some sort of adverse local condition.

Trackers must be fit and in good health as tracking in thick forest at heights up to 3,000m traversing steep-sided mountains and ravines can be tough, arduous and wet. In addition to protect gorillas from disease, no children under 15 or people with illnesses may go tracking, including colds.

We are unable to accept liability for any circumstance that might lead to gorilla viewing being cancelled, whether it is closure of the National Park or borders; absence of the gorillas; or security changes. Refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority in Rwanda or Uganda and we cannot accept liability for them. We will however use our maximum endeavours to obtain a refund and if a refund is paid by the relevant authority, we shall pass it on in full to the client.

The scheduled safaris have a maximum of 5 paying clients plus a guide in each party and normally travel in a long wheel based landrover.

It is a condition of booking that you must have, and must demonstrate to us prior to departure that you have, appropriate insurance for the type of holiday being taken with us. Such insurance should fully cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation in the event of accident or illness or death, cancellation or curtailment of the holiday by either side and loss of, damage to, or theft of the clients’ personal property.
